Agrotechs is a task management platform for farm workers of Brazil. With the app workers are able to see the tasks they have for the day, they can warn their administrators of farm related issues and sync everything to the system manually (because of the lack of signal on Brazil's country side).
Our friends from Thevelops build a MVP and tested in two farms, but workers were having trouble using it. The "Warning" section were meant to the workers let their boss know about any cattle issues or fences that might had broken, but it was designed exactly like an e-mail form. The average Brazilian farm worker is mostly semi-illiterate and avoid writing whenever they can - they feel ashamed - so almost no warning have been sent.
Also, the desktop client for the farm manager was feeling outdated and needs a revamp.

The good news it is that the farm workers are familiar with WhatsApp and Waze, so we bring some symbology like the double check for Tasks and we create a decision tree for “Warnings” witch does not require you to write anything.
First of all, the app needed an extreme makeover in its user experience. We started by making the task view our home with the warning and sync buttons always visible and easy to access. This way you don't have to go anywhere else to use those functionalities.
Then we decided to put the completed tasks on the same screen so workers can see how many tasks they completed today and have a little productive boost. We included a progression bar as another productivity incentive. We also included calendar navigation if you would like to see past and future tasks.
The warning from now on does not require you to write anything if you aren't felling it. With the subject field exchanged for an icon grid of possible warnings organized by themes, we now have an easier interface to use and a way for Agrotechs to gather data from their client’s farm.
For the feedback screens we made 5 little animations that will randomly appear every time you complete a flow.
Now that the app is looking cool, it's time to give the same look on the desktop client for the farm manager.
Also, we bring some improvements like:
- Ability to see “Warnings” from the workers directly from the map on the location that they indicate
- The Warning Decision Three that we’ve made now works on the same categories for Task handling, also the manager can transform a “Warning” into a “Task” very easily
- Customize your map with different color for each field
